Job Description

Trauma Treatment Center (TTC) in Rio Rancho, NM is looking to hire an INDEPENDENTLY Licensed Therapist who currently possesses their LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT. All licenses must be current and active to provide services in New Mexico.

TTC provides clinical treatment to children, adults, and families through clinical modalities that are evidence based and trauma informed. 

TTC prioritizes the emotional and mental well-being of its therapists. Each therapist is responsible for monitoring their own self-care, interactions with others and self-reflective capacity. This is a high priority as TTC and TTC leadership will be actively working to support the growth and development of these qualities in the therapist.

The clinician must have a working knowledge of basic computer functions and be capable of developing competency with an Electronic Health Record System (EHR). The clinician must also have a background in or currently working with children, adults, families and/or Infant Mental Health.


Summary/Objective

While providing individual, group and family therapy, the clinical therapist participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning consultations.

The clinical therapist will be subject to the general supervision, advice, and direction of, Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisors and Office Management.


Essential Functions

  • Provides clinical treatment to children and adults using individual, group and family therapy.

  • Perform a thorough assessment of the client and/or the family using various clinical assessment instruments.

  • Clinical therapist will create a full and complete treatment plan including long-term and short-term measurable goals for the client to include diagnosis evidenced based treatment modality to be utilized, plan and discharge criteria. This will be presented to the client after the assessment sessions and the client will sign the presented treatment plan for TTC records. The treatment plan will be re-evaluated every three months and adjusted as necessary.

  • Create and maintain accurate and current documentation of each session through the TTC electronic health records system. The session note will be completed by midnight the day the session was conducted.

  • Clinician is responsible for maintaining an accurate and full calendar with correct billing session codes for each session. Calendars are to be updated reflecting appointments scheduled 6 weeks out.

  • Attend all mandatory staffing’s.

Supervisory Requirements

  • The clinical therapist will meet with their supervisor once weekly for individual supervision.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the clinical therapist will work with children, adults and/or families that may require frequent movement from a seated position to standing and interactive play that can be conducted on the floor or with various toys and tools to provide treatment.

Clinical therapist may experience clients with high emotional needs that express quickly and be required to help guide self-regulation and decrease heightened activity.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

TTC is open seven days per week. This is a full-time licensed clinical position. Expected work hours are as follows and to include completed notes.

  • Full-time= 30+ billable sessions per week.

  • Part-Time= 20 billable sessions per week.


Travel

No travel is expected for this position.


Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, related program or Ph.D. in psychology.


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Three years’ experience providing direct services to children and families.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • State license or registration to meet the requirements of a qualified mental health professional.

  • Independently licensed clinical therapist must have received their LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT designated by the State of New Mexico.

  • Clinical Therapist will abide by all NCC and NASW ethical mandates and codes.

  • Clinical Therapist is a mandated reporter and will abide by the State of New Mexico mandates on reporting child abuse, neglect or maltreatment.

  • Abide by TTC policy for suicide, homicide and risky behavior reporting and intervention.


Background Check and Clearance

All clinical therapists must agree to a basic background check and receive a clear background check to work with the children and families at TTC.

Pay/ Benefits

Based upon licensure and other additional certifications.
$38-$42/hr / billable hour
Medical, Vision, Dental, and PTO is available to full-time staff.
